First of all, I am surprised and elated that I am eligible for a pension after working part time in RO schools for 26 years! Yay!! Now.... In a day and age when one can apply for and receive Social Security via the internet, transfer medical records via internet and renew drivers license .... Why, to get my pension from Michigan Public schools, do I need to send hard copies of my birth certificate and marriage license and get a notarized signature from hubs and send all hard copies in via 20th century snail mail to submit?
