First of all I do realize that auburn fans hate this idea for 2 reasons. They have the allusion they can jump Ohio State whether they beat MSU or not. WONT HAPPEN. auburn needs OSU To lose. Alabama is the only 1 loss team that can jump an undefeated this year because they are defending champs and because they have been #1 all year. That said, Ohio State could very well lose. I also realize that auburn fans would be scared to death to play us again because it could ruin this magic moment they feel they are in. However, the reason I am saying that an Iron Bowl rematch in the Sugar Bowl would be incredible is not just for revenge. It would be best for everyone and every bowl IF auburn cannot play for the championship. Does auburn really want to play UCF? Will Bama fans go to Miami 2 years in a row in mass? Probably not to either question. However, UCF is only 3 hours from Miami and their fans would go because they are happy to be in any BCS game. An Iron Bowl rematch would probably bring $50 million more to New Orleans. Tickets would be at a premium and it would probably draw more interest than OSU vs FSU. We have never played each other in a Bowl Game and to play on a completely neutral field with 50/50 fans in the stands would be incredible to see. It would be a marketing sensation. This could all be a moot point if (And only if) MSU can beat OSU, but if that does not happen….in my opinion this option would be best for both schools.
