First of all, I than God for my church and the way they stay in contace with God. They are So Favored by the Lord. They know how to pray and work the anointing of God. For it is the Anointing that Destroys the Yoke. A Word For Today. I preached a message a couple years ago called my secret place. I believe everyone needs a special place to meet with the Lord. whether it be a closet, a bedroom or a place outside, we need to find a secret place. Many prophets and many champions and the word of God chose special places to meet with God. Many altars were built upon the Commandments of God. A champion or a prophet of God is a person that does what other people refuse to do. The Bible says in Genesis 35:13-15. 13. And God went up from him in the place where he talked with him. 14. and Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon. 15. And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Bethel. I encourage every one of you this day to do the same thing as Jacob did. Jacob named his special place. It was a place the Bible says where he talk with God and God talk with Jacob. It was a place where Jacob could pour out his heart to God and in return God would instruct Jacob. So this became Jacobs secret place. Please Give your secret place a name. The room of hope. The upper room. The high place. But whatever you call it let it be a place where you commune with God daily. Daniel was a man of incredible wisdom, he established a place of prayer. Even his enemies were aware of his place of prayer. Daniel 6:10-11. 10. Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house: and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem; he kneeled up on his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. 11. Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. So many times we forget to pray because we get caught up in this fast-moving world. The Bible says that David was a man after Gods very own heart. David said in Ps.119:164: Seven times a day I praise thee because of thy righteous judgment. So as the word records that great men of God had specific times of prayer each day, we also should take time to do so. In doing this we will follow Gods pattern that he has for our life, and receive instructions from God each day to do His perfect will. If you dont have a secret place find one and give it a name. It will change your life.
