First of all donations have gone up over 700% from last year to ALS foundations. Second, I never bashed education or awareness I just bashed this specific campaign. Although yes ALS is a horrible terrible condition it is extremely rare. There are over 170 times more people with alzheimers and 8600 times more people with diabetes. But because those more prevalent yet still devastating conditions dont have a stunt philanthropic campaign at the moment, people are not donating to those causes. So, Im not saying that people should not donate to als foundations but this campaign is taking money that could, would, and maybe should have gone to other foundations as well. Theres research behind this type of thing and believe it or not I have done my research and I do know what Im talking about sometimes. I wish people could have a rational discussion about things without attacking or calling names.
