First of all thanks everybody for give me a chuck on the chin when I was feeling crappy. Second of all its interesting getting deeper into the studio because I came across flyers, set list, oddities from all kinds of shows and projects through the years. Having a bit of a George Bailey moment. Kaosmosis set lists, lyrics for Queen and Bowie and tribute things I dont even remember doing. Duran Duran? The Obama benefit we did years ago where Malice McMunn chainsawed an inflatable doll with a Sarah Palin mask on it. Yeah, That cleared out the nice democratic fundraisers who came down . I also got invited to the inauguration because of it. Amps covered in Playa dust, , band stickers, james low first record session notes, stereovision lyrics in their first draft, film cue notes, I could go on and on and on. The only thing I would have done differently is got a better PA. Not the worst crime, I guess. What makes me so sentimental about it as Im packing up my last stuff isnt just saying goodbye to an old friend but also in realizing how many of you, dozens, 100s?, have come through the doors and how many more of you I know through the work that was done here. How many people I could sit down next to and say, do you remember the time we did ...._____. It is a shockingly large number especially for a person who spends most of his time working alone. And a great deal of it started, was rehearsed, or happened entirely in this little subterranean place that was intended to be a giant laundry room and storage closet. Im going to attempt to tag everyone who came through here at some point. It is going to take me time that I should be using to carry crap out of the basement. Youre welcome. Thanks so much to you all for the contribution you have made and for the etheric but very real things that were created and then set loose into the world, never to return. Now, on to the next !
