First of all, thanks for all the prayers and messages that have been sent my way when I was in the hospital. Eight days after entering the hospital, they got tired of me and sent me home. During that week and a day, the doctors systematically conducted test after test until they determined my problems were caused by sleep apnea which then led to narcolepsy. All of this led to the kidneys making an excess of blood, and that made the heart work harder. Yesterday, they zapped my heart with a small electrical charge and rebooted it to a normal rhythm for a temporary fix. Thursday they are going to do another electrical procedure and zap something at the top of the heart and make it a permanent fix. Thank you, Lord. The only problem is we have to get up at 4:30 am and be at the hospital at 6:00 am. Small sacrifice. It is amazing what they can do today! Throughout all of this what was most curative was looking up from the hospital bed and seeing Darlene walk in with her sweet smile. There is nothing better than that. So, I ask you to keep praying for my permanent recovery. Special thanks goes to my good friend, Jerry Bains who heard me say the other day that I was craving BBQ Ribs. Tonight, he brought me a rack of ribs, potato salad, BBQ Sauce, Apple strudel, and a loaf of french bread. You dont get friends any better than that!
