First of its kind book launch of ‘Avalathikaaram’ written by Vasanth Thangasamy through Aganazhigai publication, happened at P.T.Thiyagaraya Hall on Saturday the 13th of September 2014. The writer hails from Kallai village, Perambalur district. He graduated in computer technology and is currently working as an AVP in Barclays, Singapore. His societal angst, untold grief, and admiration towards nature provoked him to come up with certain novel creations and thus the idea for Avalathikaaram was born. His entire compilation docks at avalathikaaram and has been well received by Tamil readers across the globe with substantial online followers. The book is primarily about the role of women in the society and is interpreted from the perspective of a man with great panache. It invokes our thought on Bharathi’s Pudumai Pen. The event was presided by the Chief Guest ‘Thamizh Kadal’ Shri Nellai Kannan. He gave a very inspiring speech. Kavignar Sumathi, Shri Thamizhmaaran, and Shri Saravana Vel spoke during the event. Mr Vasudevan gave the vote of thanks on behalf of the publication. Several other dignitaries participated and graced the occasion. Selvi Anugraha anchored the event.
