TODAY’S MANNA. 2 Timothy 4:4-5. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. ### In this generation we see a lot of false teachers and preachers of the Gospel. They speak yet another gospel, than that of Salvation through Jesus Christ. They lead the gullible audience astray and lead them towards the flock of Satan. It is a strategy of Satan to induce pervert teachings in the Church and leading the people away from the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The contemporary preachers are more interested to preach about blessings and rewards only. Thus the platforms from where the true Gospel should have been preached and people brought to the Salvation knowledge are tickled up with cock and bull stories to itch their ears. By this while preachers and organizers of these meetings earn applauds and fill their coffers with the hard-earned money of the gullible audience, people are lead away from the True Gospel and conviction of their sins. Earlier days, there were preachers and preaching of Christ crucified, resurrected and imminent returning Jesus Christ. Whereas, now we can see the miracles being preached. No salvation through Christ is preached. Through these verse, Apostle Paul is exhorting Pastor Timothy to remain steadfast and preach the true Gospel in all situations, endure hardships, and discharge the duties of an evangelist, diligently. This is the instruction for each Child of God in the present era to withstand all hardships, preach the Gospel of Salvation through Jesus Christ and lead a life Holy and worth emulating, unhindered of all that is happening around. “They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths”. Your people may like to hear soothing messages and such preachers would be big crowd pullers. “But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry” But we as true servants of God need not worry about the crowd. Always there would be a minority to stand for True Gospel.
