First off, I am very fickle and almost any book I read instantly becomes my favorite. But if I were to choose some, in no particular order 1. Count of Monte Cristo (I read this book twice, and once I saw it as a tale of revenge and once as a story of love) 2. Rabbit Run - John Updike (It is an impressionable book, maybe not one of my favorites) 3. Briefing a decent into hell - Doris Lessing (Whaov. Insanity) 4.Shadow of Wind, Angels Game, A Prisoner of Heaven series by Carlos Ruiz Zafon (For its vivid imagery and the authors love of books) 5. Bell Jar, Ariel- Sylvia Plath 6. The Golden Gate - Vikram Seth (For its ironic cliches and its rhythm) 6. A Happy Death - Albert Camus (An absurd tale that makes me question our existence yet again) 7. Lord of The Rings - Tolkeins 8. Perks of Being a Wallflower (An odd book with quirky characters, a classic for our times) 9. Kafka on the Shores - and all of Murakamis works Ive read. (Sputnik sweetheart, wind up bird chronicles) 10. Our Man in Havana - Graham Greene (A subtle comic satire on the absurdity of spies.) I could go on and on. And this list would never end. Thanks Poorna Kannan for nominating me. I nominate Gayatri Mami, VidhuVij, Parth Gyani, Chaarvi Modi and Anjana Suresh. All the best.
