First the Walls Must Fall... Israel was standing at the entrance to their Promised Land… they had crossed the Flooded Jordan by following God’s instructions, and now they needed to fully possess their Promised Land… And God said the first thing that must happen, to fully possess your Promise is for some walls to fall flat! Sometimes our feelings and emotions build up walls that keep our emotions and feelings safe, but keep others out… And, occasionally, the walls you’ve built up will bump up against the walls someone else has built up… and you’ll both begin to notice that your walls are built out of similar material, and so you merge your walls together… And you have more feelings and more emotions, because we often feed off of one another’s emotions… and your walls become stronger. And now, you have stronger walls that keep the feelings and emotions of a few safe, and still keep others out… There would be other battles Joshua and Israel would fight, and God would give them instruction for each of those battles… But God said to Joshua, this is the first battle… a battle for some Walls to Fall Flat.
