First the good news. Maz has finally got a doctor who has looked - TopicsExpress

First the good news. Maz has finally got a doctor who has looked into his complaints about his medication. The first thing she did was to take him off one of the pills completely, and shes done several blood tests since, the most recent last week. He also went in today to do a test on a treadmill. Now comes the not so good news. It looks like the problem has been mis-diagnosed all along. And the arterial fibrilation was not the problem in and of itself. They have scheduled him for an angiogram (I am probably mis-spelling everything, sorry, Im a bit upset), which is injection dye to track blood flow. The results of which are pretty much a foregone conclusion, as they are scheduling him for a surgery (day surgery, or so he insists) that involves the scraping of arteries around the heart to clear them to improve circulation, after which he should be right as nine-pence. Ive been simply awash with tears, as Im pretty upset by it all. Words like surgery arteries and heart are pretty mind-numbing when I expected him to come home and say Alls well or Ive got new medication...
