First there was wrangling of children to get chores done. Then there was frantic making of sandwiches. Then there was picking up of Sarah and Heather, and driving to LPZ. There was viewing of camels, kangaroos and zebras. There was admiration of the G-rated activities of gorillas and chimpanzees. Monkeys, a carousel, tears, food, Diego briefly flashing everyone. A photo booth, and a tornado booth, chicks just barely starting to hatch. Did my car get towed? No! Did I get a ticket? NO! Did I even pay for parking? NOOOO! And none of the kids fell asleep in the car. Although they fought and got spoken to sharply, there were no full-blown tantrums. Now we are home. A friend is visiting. Pizza is on its way.
