First thing I noticed about Smokin 19 Restaurant & Bar, 3090 34th - TopicsExpress

First thing I noticed about Smokin 19 Restaurant & Bar, 3090 34th St N, Saint Petersburg, was the sign. You dont see a food establishment sign fashioned after a Humble Pie album cover very often! Especially around these here parts. They advertised smoked meat and huge sandwiches, a sure way to get me in. Went twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. For lunch I had the meatloaf sandwich with fries and the Queen had the pulled pork sandwich with home made green beans. The meatloaf loaf was good, not the best Ive had but good. Fries were hot and tasty. The pulled pork was smoked but not too smokey, just right, and the green beans were well seasoned. A couple of days later I went back for dinner. I had the smoked ribeye steak, fries, again (I like fries) and some chicken wings, which by the way are .50 each all day Sunday take out as well. The Ribeye was seasoned with spices which I usually dont like but played well with the flavor from being smoked, it was good. The chicken wings were smoked as well and also very good. Several sauces available for the wings. The only problem I could see is that it may be too loud for some folks. Lunch was okay with other diners there but when we returned for dinner we were the only ones eating and the bar is right next to the seating with no divider. The patrons at the bar were loud and enjoying themselves (as they should) but it got pretty noisy at times. Didnt bother me but Im sure some people wouldnt care for it. I will be back! Heres some photos I kiped from their facebook page.
