Firstly, well done to Dave on hitting a new log 1RM! Dave has been with us for just a couple of weeks but even in his first session I saw some great potential. Looking forward to helping him over the coming months. If you watch the video youll notice in his first attempt he had a massive bilateral deficit. His right arm just wasnt firing and you see the log go lob-sided and he misses the lift. In his second attempt he smashes right through it and gets the lift. Why? When I see such a huge difference in the strength between limbs, particularly the upper body, it is usually due to a nerve issue. Possibly impingement, signalling, or the skeletal structure is not optimal. How did we help Dave? Very simple solution of thoracic mobility extensions on the foam roller. He could feel a lot of crunching. A sure sign he needs to work on this. Easiest fix is to see a chiropractor. If your discs/neck/spine is aligned then neural drive to your limbs will not be optimal P.S. we get PBs on the log for fun here at WHS! If you want to know how please feel free to contact us as we love helping people get stronger :) #winning
