Five Facts to Remember This Week: 1) There is no such ethnicity as palestinian and never has been. The arabs currently living in Gaza, Judea and Samaria are essentially the same ethnicity as the neighboring country known as Jordan. 2) The idea of dividing the area between Jews and Arabs isnt new. In fact, it has already been done. 70 years ago, Britain owned a big property known as the British Mandate, which it subdivided into one large part called Jordan and one small part called Israel. Its called the Two-State Solution, and as they say... Its been done. Yes. Already. 3) The reason there are Jordanian refugees in Judea, Samaria and Gaza is that the Arab nations who kept starting war after war after war against Israel invited the arabs within Israel to fight on their side, on the promise that theyd rule it when they won. Of course, they lost. And lost. And lost. Youd think the arab neighbors would have invited their allies into their own countries, wouldnt you? Well, they didnt. So theyve sat on the doorstep of Israel all these years... Its not Israels fault that theyre homeless; its Jordans, Saudi Arabias, Iraqs, Egypts, Syrias.... 4) In most cultures, we like to think that terrorists are - they simply MUST be!!! - a tiny minority in their countries. This is clearly not the case with the so-called palestinians. They have been raising their children to do nothing but protest, fight, and hate the Jews for generations now. They have had no trouble producing suicide bombers every day for decades. Thats a profession that tends to burn itself out pretty quickly, through running out of recruits. Why hasnt it? Because the evil of terrorism is not a minority in this particular crowd. In elections, they actually VOTE for Hamas. This is a whole subculture of jihadist anti-Jewish killers. They hate and kill. Its what theyre raised to do; its all they know. 5) The so-called palestinians have been attacking Israel - with suicide bombers, rifles, rockets, and more - virtually every day for decades... but nowadays, the American press only covers Israel shooting back at the snipers nests and the rocket launchers... clearly in order to muddy public opinion into thinking that theres some equivalence of blame between Israel and Gaza. Yes, its obviously on purpose. What does that tell you about the level of honor, integrity, and trustworthiness of the American press? John F. Di Leo
