Five years ago today God joined Emily and I together. Though I did not fully comprehend the profound truths that we were expressing at the time he has over the last five years unfolded to us the deep meaning of what John Piper calls a parable for life. Just as Christ is joined with his Church so we are joined together as one flesh. Emily, when you hurt, I hurt. When you experience joy so do I. Because the Father prizes the Son, he prizes us as well. You are my greatest earthly treasure and a constant reminder of the glory of our heavenly treasure to come. I trust that 100 years after we meet Jesus face to face the sentiment will be similar to mine today; its gone by so fast but its hard to remember what I ever did apart from you. May Gods truth continue to unfold in our lives for decades to come. I love you.
