Five years ago tonight at 8:09 pm, my son, Chad, called me. It was the last time I would ever hear his voice. I kept that time stamp on my landline for as long as I could. We joked, and when he asked me to help him try to remember the last name of one of his ex-girlfriends, I teased him and told him that their faces just kind of morph together in my mind (not true ladies...just my excuse for the moment), and said that I would call him back in a day or so if I could come up with that name. He laughed and told the friends he was with that even his mom was dissing him. We talked some more and said wed talk again later. Sometimes, that just doesnt happen. Love with all your heart....truly and deeply.
