Flash fry I lb of stew beef to seal in the juices. In a deep stew pot, melt some butter, then stir fry 2 cups finely chopped carrot/onion/celery mixture until they begin to clarify. Add 7 cups beef stock, 2 cups frozen mixed veggies (carrots, peas, corn, lima beans, string beans), 2 cups chopped tomatoes, the beef, and spices as you like. After that mixture starts boiling hard, turn down the heat and throw in two cups bowtie pasta. My own spicing for this dish included salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, basil, as well as 1/4 cup of Tamarina brand spicy tamarind sauce. When the pasta is al dente... ENJOY! Then freeze the rest in tupperware for future meals to, at some later date... ENJOY all over again!
