Florissant, MO RIOTS--happening NOW. Please pray for the residents of that city who are victims of this vigil turned riot -- looting and violence and destruction and chaos. BUT DO NOT WORRY! Al Sharpton is on the way! He will sort this out!! UPDATE FROM A FB FRIEND: Getting worse.. looks like a war zone in some parts.. looting spreading to Family Dollar, WalMart and other businesses in their neighborhood... shots fired at the WalMart... people walking out with boxes of merchandise... using a dolly to haul off an ATM.. rumor of Quick Trip being set on fire... A local NAACP official is being interviewed on TV... says this (violent protesting and looting) is because of unresolved race issues in St.Louis - the manifestation of young black peoples frustration with not being able to find jobs and enjoy the lifestyle theyre desirous of. Typical NAACP... misplaced blame. (STL) Oh, and in Ferguson Florissant here - HAPPENING NOW violence is breaking out between a growing mob and 200+ police - a young (unarmed) black man was shot and killed yesterday by police - two sides to the story - convenience store windows shattered and is being looted (video in post), media attacked. SHARPTON ARRIVES TOMORROW to console the family, smdh. About the incident behind all this... from what I read, apparently someone had stolen some cigars from a local store. The cops asked the two teens to get out of the middle of the street? and the one pushed the officer back into his car and struggled to get his gun (which went off once in the car w/o injury) then the teens ran, cop gave foot chase, fired a few rounds, hit one kid once, he then turned, dropped to his knees, reports vary on where his hands were, cop fired into him 3 more times. Cop is on paid administrative leave.
