Fluctuations in the price of fuel or other inputs will not result - TopicsExpress

Fluctuations in the price of fuel or other inputs will not result in widespread pay increases. The only thing that has ever delivered systemically higher pay for people in low-middle income sectors has been entrenched collective bargaining, something that this government is eroding. Conversations about low pay and inequality are pointless unless we are willing to talk about the gritty dynamics of the labour market and the system-wide power balance between employees and employers.
