Focus on Your Today - There is No Tomorrow! Whatever you do, for your tomorrow you are preparing today. Now is the future. Whatever be your past, forget it if it is not worth remembering. To concentrate on your past pains, to look backward into shadows is to deny the daily miracle of the earth’s facing the rising sun. Planning for future is sensible but you must always take into account the need for living now today. Today is more thrilling than yesterday because it is already there. It is new and it is now. “Look not mournfully into the past” says Longfellow, “It comes not back again. Wisely improve the present. It is yours. Go forth to meet the shadowy future, without fear and manly heart.” Face forward, as nature has designed the man’s eyes to look forward. We waste tremendous energy by looking backward. The ideal life is one that does its best everyday and sees ever in tomorrow an opportunity for something better than today. No use dreaming about future happiness and success and no use of struggling for it if we fail to recognize the opportunities offered to us now, this very moment. Focus of this moment, it contains all we need. Remember all the flowers of all the tomorrow are in the seeds of today. Man acts as if he had unlimited time. The real fact is that he has very little of it. The real fact is that he has very little of it. There is no promise of its extension even for a moment. The only time the man has to make something of him is right now. If he wants to assure himself that his life will be what he wants it to be, he must make it so at this moment, not this afternoon or tomorrow. Each morning is a beginning in which he can start a new regardless how badly he may have failed on the preceding day. The stuff that his life is made up of is what he thinks, says and does right now today. It is today that we must be good spouse, the companion of our children, the loyal and dependable worker, the aggressive salesman, the courteous businessman, a sympathetic friend and a human being. Tomorrow does not exist. It is only today and that is the reality. The past is a thing of a past. Neither we nor any super natural power can change its course. Its final chapter has already been written. However, it is also a fact that past cannot be obliterated from our present or our future. Its success and failures, its noble and base thoughts and actions have been recorded in our personality and character. The success of the present and of the future can be assured through the daily application of the lessons we have learnt from the past. The future is today and there is no tomorrow. The petty annoyances, the real and fancied sights, the trivial mistakes, the disappointments, the sorrows, even the joys, burry them deep in the oblivion of each night and you will make a free man with a new life. Money lost may be regained; houses burnt can be rebuilt again. But what power can restore the moment that has passed, the day whose sun has set, the year that has been numbered with ages gone. Leonardo De Vinci said, “Time stays long enough for those who use it. Do not say that you have no time. Where there is a will there is a way. Look around people who are always busy. See how they find to attend all their business and activities. The best of all ways to lengthen your days is to steal a few hours from the nights. Act today if you are to attain full reward of your efforts. If time is spent dreaming of the tomorrow and regretting the yesterday there is little time left for doing anything today. Worrying about tomorrow is senseless, tomorrow really never comes. You can only live in the present. When you worry needless about what will happen to you tomorrow, you are applying brakes to your progress. Live today as best as you can. Learn to live in the present moment and getting in touch with your now, it is in fact the art of effective living. But the present culture demands that we should think of tomorrow and plan for retirement. Avoiding the present moment is a disease and we are being conditioned to sacrifice the present for the future. As you look backward in your life you will seldom experience regrets for anything you have done. It is what you have not done that will torment you. The message therefore is clear. Do it. Seize every second of your life. Value your present moments and use them. Please do not mis-interrupt this message. “Tomorrow doesn’t exist” , doesn’t mean that there isn’t any tomorrow. This is all about forgetting the past, learn from it and focus on your present. If you keep a great track of your present, you will control ‘the present of tomorrow’. Let’s believe that “the future is today!” Thank You and Best Wishes,
