Focusing on a problem and projecting it towards everything you see - TopicsExpress

Focusing on a problem and projecting it towards everything you see is a known psychological process, the one behind confirmation bias. If you genuinely believe a theory or hypothesis, then as such individuals happily state the science is settled it means they have closed their minds to any alternative. Following that every single event around them, including yesterday more murders in America, are seen as connected to it, as well as the serious newspaper article last year claiming we would be destroyed by aliens for our CO2 levels as it threatened the solar system. It was not a hoax. As I keep saying, judge a theory by its results. The results here are higher taxes, as Brad pointed out Kyoto was carrying out an atrocity worthy of the worst possible governments since biblical times, of rationing essentials, ie raising energy prices to reduce consumption. Such energy being used for lighting, heating and travel, nearly all essential. That is the same as raising food prices or rationing water. Such immoral and normally illegal acts are all that have come from this view, as well as abandoning cheap and efficient coal power for wood and wind, one is six times the cost and not sustainable (there arent enough trees) and the other is random and costs 6-12 times more. The effects of a slightly warmer planet- 1,2 or 3 degrees higher are implied up to a point by the known effects of the previous three warm periods, regardless of their actual size (in dispute) or range (in dispute). They were called optimums till the 21st century as that was the overall effect on life as a whole. The disaster occur with ice ages, millions freeze to death and vast areas become uninhabitable. But even if what we were doing was cooling the planet if they said it needed -2C and we were struggling to cross -0.8C I wouldnt be that worried either, as the predictions as always were many times too high. Wrong is wrong, its not about sides, its about perspective, something which was the first and biggest thing to go here.
