Foggy, foggy day today on the Outer Banks. We visited the Bodie Island Lighthouse and Hatteras Lighthouse, then headed back to our camp at Rodanthe to visit our favorite place so far: the Chicamcomico Lifesaving Station. (As a lover of Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park, I was impressed that there was another CH word as long and hard to pronounce. The museum included eight original buildings that, over time, made up the lifesaving station for this section of the coast. They were extremely beautiful, each in its own way. These were my two favorites.)
