Folded hands in prayer, hopes clasped in despair. Tear stained cheeks scared from lifes undaunting demands. Think of what you still could be and not what hasnt been. The Folded Hands Hands are folded tightly; hide the lips and nose. Eyes are sad and weary. Anguish nearly shows. What has made you teary? What has made you sad? What are all the problems that youve had to have? Longing prayers are whispered; wishes in the wind. Longing for the hopes and dreams that never could have been. If it could be better. If life could be good. What would you do differently if you really could? Hands are folded tightly. Lips are tight and thin. Thoughts of hopeful dreaming for what it might have been. Eyes are sad and weary. They have seen so much. Waiting for forgotten arms that might have held and touched. Thoughtful pose youre holding. Dont you hold it in.
