Folks - next Tuesday, January 20th, is an important day for folks to get together to strategize, learn and plan for the upcoming session debates on legalizing medical marijuana. PACT (Patient Alliance for Cannabis Therapeutics) is holding their Patient Lobby Day at the Capitol. The session begins at 10am and runs through 5 in the afternoon. If you cant make it for the entire day, drop in for as long as you can to hear speakers talk about the upcoming session, what is expected to occur and how you can present your personal story and help end prohibition. The focus of this lobby day is on medical use, medical need and medical stories. As seniors, we have medical conditions that come with aging, and are conditions that may not be as prevalent with other demographics. Glaucoma, Cancer, Arthritis, Alzheimers, Muscular/Skeletal, Neurological are just some of the conditions that come to mind. Do you suffer from any of these? Would the use of medical marijuana help you lead a more productive, pain-free, fulfilling life? Have you suffered from any one of these afflictions and have benefitted from using Cannabis? If so, youre JUST the kind of person who would benefit from attending this Lobby Day and, possibly, providing testimony in the upcoming legislative session. If you want change or, more importantly, NEED to have change made in Texas laws, please consider attending PACTs Patient Lobby Day next Tuesday. The focus will be on supporting and passing a medical marijuana bill that will allow for the use of medical marijuana in the state of Texas. If you are ailing -- now is your time to speak.
