Folks Frontier has experienced a massive outage somewhere east of Cherokee County. It is affecting the landline 911 lines going to our Emergency Communications Center. However cell phones can call 911 and it will get through in emergencies. In the meantime know that fire departments are manned in case of emergencies and if you need to call via a landline you can call the following numbers: 828-835-3144 828-835-3945 828-837-7405 828-837-7477 Any of the above numbers will ring into our Emergency Communications Center and our Dispatchers will get you help. Dont forget if you need you can use Facebook as well. Frontier is busy working on the situation but know that we are still working and taking calls. We have placed Deputies at Hiwassee Dam at Station Three, and at the Range in Marble until things get back to some normalcy. We have also found out that our incoming lines at the office are down.
