Folks, I am here at the National Baseball Injuries Conference in Atlanta and am learning more than you could ever imagine. I felt horrendous yesterday, but there was no way I could miss this weekend. First off, everything we teach here has been 100% validated. Yes, this means our hitting AND of course our pitching. I spent time with two major league pitching instructors and coordinators tonight and I know for fact we are doing it right...as if we needed any help. ;-) But our last session of the day was on hitting and it was done with the coach from UNC and guess what...he taught EXACTLY what we do from how to get the weight on the back side to how to load the hands. YES, this needs to be taught at the YOUTH level...as soon as they start to swing. This way they learn the proper swing early in life and do not have to learn two or three swings. Tomorrow is going to focus on youth and high school throwing programs, hitting, pitching, core strength training, rehabilitation concepts for youth, preserving the knees of catchers, ACL surgery and rehab and then closing with Dr. Andrews. I am beyond excited!
