Folks! This is fabulous news! WELL DONE to HUDSON, QUEBEC!! And for the province: New legislation would redefine the status of an animal in the province’s Civil Code, ensuring that cats, dogs and other animals will no longer be considered as “personal property” but as living, “sentient” creatures. Could Quebec be moving from holding the reputation as the dregs of animal mills and abuse to a leader in animal welfare? Id LOVE to see it! Hats off to all those in the Quebec government working to make this a reality!
