Folks: what college/university towns would I like that I havent yet visited? I am familiar with Bloomington (both IL and IN), Madison, Morgantown, Columbia, MO, Athens, OH, Champaign-Urbana, Lincoln, NE. I like lots of ethnic restaurants, a running trail or two, a nice hotel to stay in (Hampton Inn is my jam), and coffee shops for writing. I should add that 1) I do not drive and 2) I am not looking for readings, but for a comfy writing getaway when I get my 2015 sabbatical. Midwest/Midsouth towns preferred, so I can get back to Carbondale without too much effort.
