Following is a bit long, but worth considering: WHO ARE YOU (in CHRIST)? These are the sure promises God gives from His word to ALL those who believe in Him. They are unchangeable and unchanging, just like God who makes them. Because they come from God, they are TRUE whether we think so or not: You are the salt of the Earth. (Matthew 5:13) You are the light of the world. (Matthew 5:14) You are a child of God - part of His family! (John 1:12, Romans 8:16) You are part of the True Vine - a branch or channel of Christs life. (John 15:1,5) You are chosen and appointed by Christ to bear His fruit. (John 15:16) You are a servant of Righteousness. (Romans 6:18) You are a servant of God. (Romans 6:22) You are a child of God - God is your Spiritual Father. (Romans 8:14,15; Galatians 3:26 and 4:6) You are a joint heir with Christ, sharing His inheritance with Him. (Romans 8:17) You are a Temple of God. His life and Spirit dwell in you. (1 Corinthians 3:16 and 6:19) You are joined to (united with) God and are of one spirit with Him. (1 Corinthians 6:17) You are a member (part) of Christs body. (1 Corinthians 12:27, Ephesians 5:30) YOU ARE A NEW CREATION (a new person)! (2 Corinthians 5:17) You are reconciled to God and you are yourself a minister of reconciliation.( 2 Corinthians 5:18,19) You are a Child of God, and One in Christ. (Galatians 3:26,27) You are an heir of God since you are His child. (Galatians 4:6,7) You are a SAINT! (Ephesians 1:1; 1 Corinthians 1:2; Philippians 1:1; Colossians 1:2) You are Gods handiwork, created (i.e. born anew) in Christ to do His work that He planned beforehand that you should do. (Ephesians 2:10) You are a fellow citizen with the rest of Gods people in His family. (Ephesians 2:19) You are righteous and holy. (Ephesians 4:24) You are a citizen of heaven and seated in heaven right now. (Philippians 3:20; Ephesians 2:6) You are hidden with Christ in God. (Colossians 3:3) You are an expression of the life of Christ because He IS your life. (Colossians 3:4) You are chosen by God, holy, and dearly loved. (Colossians 3:12; 1 Thessalonians 1:4) You are a child of Light and not of darkness. (1 Thessalonians 5:5) You are a holy brother (or sister), partaker of a heavenly calling. (Hebrews 3:1) You are one of Gods living stones, and being built up in Christ as a spiritual house. (1 Peter 2:5) You are of a chosen race, member of a royal priesthood, of a holy nation, a person of Gods own possession to proclaim His excellencies. (1 Peter 2:9,10) You are an alien and stranger to this world you temporarily live in. (1 Peter 2:11) You are an enemy of the Devil. (1 Peter 5:8) You are right now a Child of God. You will resemble Christ when He returns. (1 John 3:1,2) You are born of God and the evil one (the devil) cannot touch you. (1 John 5:8) SINCE YOU ARE IN CHRIST, BY THE GRACE OF GOD YOU: -have been justified - completely forgiven and made righteous (Romans 5:1) -died with Christ and died to the power of sins rule over your life. (Romans 6:1-6) -are free FOREVER from condemnation (Romans 8:1) -have been placed into Christ by Gods doing (1 Corinthians 1:30) -have received the Holy Spirit of God into your life so that you might know the things freely given to you by God (1 Corinthians 2:12) -have been given the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16) -have been bought with a price. You are not your own. You belong to God. (1 Corinthians 6:19,20) -have been established, anointed and sealed by God in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:21) -have been given the Holy Spirit of God as a pledge (deposit or down payment) guaranteeing your inheritance to come. (Ephesians 1:13,14) -have died to the power of sin, therefore you no longer live for yourself, but for Him (2 Corinthians 5:14,15) -have been made righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21) -have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives in you; the life you now live is His life (Galatians 2:20) -have been blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3) -have been chosen by Christ from before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blame before Him (Ephesians 1:4) -were determined by God to be adopted into His family (Ephesians 1:5) -have been redeemed, forgiven, and are a recipient of His lavish grace (Ephesians 1:7,8) -have been made alive together with Christ (Ephesians 2:5) -have been raised up and seated with Christ in heaven (Ephesians 2:6) -have direct access to God through His Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:18) -may approach God with boldness, freedom and confidence (Ephesians 3:12) -have been rescued from the domain of darkness (Satans rule) and transferred to the Kingdom of Christ (Colossians 1:13) -have been redeemed and forgiven of ALL your sins - the debt of sin against you has been cancelled! (Colossians 1:14, 2:13,14) -have Christ Himself in you (Colossians 1:27) -have been firmly rooted in Christ and are now being built up in Him (Colossians 2:7) -have been spiritually cleansed; your old, degenerate nature has been removed. (Colossians 2:11) -have been made complete in Christ (Colossians 2:10) -have been buried, raised and made ALIVE in Christ (Colossians 2:12,13) -died with Christ and have been raised up to Eternal Life with Him. Your life is now hidden with Christ in God. Christ is now your life. (Colossians 3:1-4) -have been given the Spirit of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7) -have been saved and set apart (sanctified and called) according to Gods doing (2 Timothy 1:9; Titus 3:5) -have been sanctified (set apart) and therefore are one with the Sanctifier (i.e. Christ); He is NOT ASHAMED to call you His brother or sister (Hebrews 2:11) -have the right to come boldly before the Throne of God (the Throne of Grace) to find mercy and grace in time of need (Hebrews 4:16) -have been given exceedingly great and precious promises by God (the BIBLE is full of them) by which you are a partaker of Gods Divine Nature (2 Peter 1:4) ----///---- I am not the great `I AM, (Exodus 3:14, John 8:24,28,58) but by the Grace of God I am what I am. (1 Corinthians 15:10) ----///---- TRAVEL THE EXPANDED ROMANS ROAD: [James 2:10 ...For whoever keeps the whole law yet stumbles in one point, is guilty of all] Romans 3:23 ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23a For the wages of sin is death Romans 5:8 But God demonstrated His love for us in this, that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 10:13 Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:9 if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans 12:2a ..do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.. Romans 8:1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. [John 8:10b, 11 Has no one condemned you?...No one! Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.]
