Following on from the UK survey, it is worth revisiting this article on the structure of the tourism industry and why there are so many barriers for Accessible Tourism. Most disability discrimination laws have concentrated on physical access, but in tourism that does not change the culture or availability of Tourism for All. Without the involvement of wholesalers, tour operators and the retail industry the accessible facilities may exist but remain out of reach to the disabled traveler.
