Following the post from Johnny, what lightsaber fighting form/s are you most attracted to? Remember there are 7 including Jar-Kai dual blade fencing. Ill also list other fighting techniques used amongst or against force users. Traditional 7. 1. Shii-cho 2. Makashi 3. Soresu 4. Ataru 5. Djem-so/Shien 6. Niman 7. Juyo/Vaapad Other. 1. Jar-kai dual blade 2. Teras Kasi (martial arts) 3. Trispzest (berserking) 4. Sokan (use of environment) 5. Trakata (turning your blade off) 6. Dun Moch (Sith mind games) Feel free to do research to learn the subtleties of each style. I personally am drawn to Djem-so... Darth Vader and Luke are the most recognizable users of this form. Thats not to say I like the way they use it. At its core it is an aggressive version of Soresu, a purely defensive form. This form relies on natural strength and feeds off the emotions of the user. Shien is the other side of the form which makes the user an expert at not only deflecting projectiles but redirecting them back to their source. Also something that is really really strange... Did you guys know that not one lightsaber fighting style was developed by the Sith? Beyond Dun moch, which is more of a scare tactic used demoralize and terrify.
