#FongCauses #EbolaFreeGambia Hi All Ebola has no respect for boundaries and we have all heard about the threat of this devastating disease spreading throughout our continent and beyond. Cases of ebola have been confirmed in 5 countries in West Africa, one of them being Senegal, which surrounds The Gambia on three sides. This has triggered a high level of concern amongst Gambians living in The gambia and abroad. WYCG is collaborating with Fong4Life who are working tirelessly to spread the word about the preventative measures of this deadly virus. We have started a fundraising campaign https://youcaring/ebolafreegambia to put together what we can in order assist these efforts at home- as soon as possible. Here are the steps we aim to take: Use the above platform to raise funds in the shortest time possible (please help spread the link) Find the best deal for our money in buying soaps, chlorine bleach, Clorox disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizers and other goods that will help this cause. (we are writing to Dove, Purell and Clorox to solicit their support) Ship these goods to The Gambia where with the help of Fong4Life and any other youth group that can join in, we will distribute these goods to the many (rural area) that needs it along side the preventative message. We are lucky to have shipping arranged already, thanks to our anonymous shipper and our number 1 priority is the remote areas that have little access to proper health care.
