Food experiment tonight. Biscuit Topped Breakfast Casserole. Preheated oven to 350. Fried up a 1/2 pound of bacon, set it to the side to cool and, chopped it up. Used 4 Tbs of the bacon grease to fry up 1 Lb of frozen hasbrowns while the bacon was cooling. Added chopped bacon to hashbrowns and poured in 6 eggs, scrambled. Cooked at medium heat, stirring frequently until eggs started to set then, covered the skillet (iron) and put into preheated oven for 10 minutes. Turn oven up to 425. Remove from oven, sprinkle top of egg mixture with shredded cheeses, top with two packages of refrigerator biscuits, drizzle biscuits with garlic butter and sprinkle with Parmesan (Romano, Asiago blend). Return to oven for 6-8 minutes uncovered. And remember to turn the oven off. Be right back.
