Food for thought: Although I have never been given a diagnosis as such, I was told something that is interesting, and thought provoking. Just considered that it may lend some insight to others and their conditions. I have undergone a relentless onslaught of tests for Diabetes over the last 20 years. My neuropathy apparently tells everyone instantly that it HAS TO BE what I have - but I dont. My Neurologist explained to me that Diabetes, which I remember being referred to as Sugar Diabetes, is a condition where your body is unable to metabolize sugars. He likened what is happening to me as being an Elemental Diabetes. He believes that, at some point in time, I ingested, inhaled or absorbed something into my body that could not be metabolized. The remaining element then deposited itself in/on the myelin sheath on my nerves. My body sees these deposits as being foreign matter to my physiology, attacks them, and cannot rid me of them unless it also takes the myelin sheath that bears them. This could explain a lot of different conditions that are prevalent now. What do you think?
