Food for thought on Shabbat. Shabbat shalom! WHY ISRAEL IS JUDGED BY A DIFFERENT STANDARD No nation on earth would ever exercise the type of restraint that the State of Israel has in the face of continuous rocket attacks against its civilian population. They notify populated areas before attacking to avoid hurting the innocent. They continue to provide the network communications, electricity, and fuel necessary for their enemies to maintain a constant barrage of missiles flying out of Gaza towards anywhere/everywhere in Israel. And Israel receives no payment for it. The moment the IDF approaches defeating Hamas, the nations of the world will step in to force Israel into accepting a cease fire. Why would they do such a thing? Its certainly not out of love for Hamas. How does this serve the self-interests of the community of nations? And whats the motive behind their actions? It doesnt make sense, unless you take into account the guilt factor. Israel truly is a light to the nations as G-d proclaimed. That means she leads by example and shows the way to act justly and mercifully towards other nations. This light is unbearable for the nations of the world because they choose darkness and self-interest above all other considerations. They must criticize and eventually stop anyone else who may cause them to lose their sense of proper conduct and right standing in their own eyes. In the end, Israel must be wrong, because if she isnt, then the nations are all acting in the wrong and theyll never admit to that.
