Foot/ankle connective tissue health...a quick tip from the book, - TopicsExpress

Foot/ankle connective tissue health...a quick tip from the book, The Story of the Human Body shares a fundamental constant...when we put force into our bodies our tissues respond. So, whether youre a therapist, chiropractor, trainer, soft tissue therapist, etc., you are placing forces into the body and these inputs create an adaptation process (hopefully a productive one). My point, if you want to move around and not have foot/ankle problems you must stimulate the tissues to handle the demand, not just at the gym or with your therapist but very often as the cells adapt to stimulus, on-going stimulus. Just like you cant expect to get stronger lifting a weight up once, dont expect your tissues to walk, hike, play on weekends with resiliency UNLESS you have conditioned them to do so. Here is a quick way to stimulate the f/a connective tissues...be sure your forefoot is bent around curb to elongate that part of the foot, then drive your knees forward thus getting the tibia to go over the bent foot, watch how Brandi drives her pelvis along multiple angles, choose speeds, ranges that are within your threshold...we all have the capacity to adapt and change but it takes work! Enjoy!
