Footage from our Open Roda in West End (Brisbane), Sunday 26th October 2014. This Saturday. 1st of November we have an important demo part of the G20 celebrations! Xango Capoeira will be part of the parade through southbank finishing with a Roda at the Cultural forecourt Latin Fiesta oustide QPac (near the ferris wheel). There will be no classes on that saturday! We are inviting as many people to attend so we can give a lot of energy and put on a good show (we are leading the parade with the samba drummers and dancers!) Please wear white Xango Uniform! Our Beribazu friends and Madeiras group are more then welcome to join in your respective white school uniforms please. Will be great to have you there Call timet: 3pm at Riverstage (botanic Gardens) - please note parking my be an issue so please be organised to arrive on time! there will be a dressing room available. Parade will start 4pm over the goodwill Bridge and through southbank. We will have all our berimbaus and pandeiros to play along with the drummers (if you have your own instrument please bring it!). Will also play some capoeira and do some moves along the parade as we go. Parade will go for approx 45min and end at Latin Fiesta outside Qpac. We will do a 15min roda there. Its going to be a bit one with lots of other artists involved. A few students have already confirmed but if you havent could you please get in contact with me here or via message before this friday advising if you can be there? need to give them names etc. Thanks again for all the continuing support in presenting the beautiful culture of Capoeira to our community.
