For 4 of the #DharmaMadeMeDoIt challenge let’s play with #Kapinjalasana or partridge pose (842 on the Dharma poster). When I say play, I mean it. It’s crazy hard and challenging but a lot of fun if you let yourself have it! I have to say I’m super impressed with everyone’s posts today - which didn’t make me feel too bad for stepping it up a notch today! Kapinjalasana has very similar mechanics to Utthita Dhanurasana, except it’s in a side plank position, which means you have to worry about balance with a much smaller margin of error. A key point for using these two poses is explore the effects of opposing forces, which is a key aspect in yoga. Figuring how to use them to get a deeper opening in a pose, and also how to use them to find balance in a posture will change your practice! Check in with @fitqueenirene tomorrow night for day 5!!
