For Anyone Who LOVES Summer Concerts in Newport...this is IMPORTANT....please help!!!! LETS KEEP NEWPORT WATERFRONT EVENTS IN NEWPORT! Tonight the Newport City Council will meet for the last Council Meeting of the year and one item on the docket is a request to hold a public workshop to discuss moving the concerts, comedy shows and festivals previously held at the Newport Yachting Center to Fort Adams State Park. Please contact the Newport Mayor, City Council and City Manager to express your support of the events moving to Fort Adams and your support of the approval of a public workshop happening in early January (time is important in order to be up and running for summer 2015). Opponents of the move to Fort Adams have been very vocal and it is now time for the supporters to be vocal too! Please email them NOW to show your support and be sure to mention if you are a Newport resident, Newport business owner, Newport business employee and/or have enjoyed the events in the past.
