For Chris Johnson from Musculus Hibernia Mons and from now from me. Each evening at the same time, no matter what else was happening, Christie and I prayed the Shema and other prayers together aloud. At my bed time, my habit was to pray Martin Luthers evening prayer and since she was in a different time zone at her bed time she prayed a similar Anglican prayer along with all the prayers for everyone we knew who was sick or in need of prayers. I cannot think of a better way to say for good night for her tonight other than through Kaddish. If you just have to ask how it can be that a Lutheran Pastor and an Anglican woman can do Jewish things, please remember that Jesus is Jewish and that He came first to the Jews and then to the rest of us.
