For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation - TopicsExpress

For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thes. 5:9 When we think of Sodom and Gomorrah, what comes to our mind? God’s wrath and fiery judgment! The truth is that God was not out on a sin hunt, God was on a righteousness hunt! God stopped at Abraham and even told him what he supposed to do; God wanted Abraham to entreat Him and in conversation…Abraham asked God if He would destroy the city if there were only 50... 45…40…30…or 10 righteous. Abraham stopped at 10. Even If Abraham had gone down to JUST ONE RIGHTEOUS MAN, I believe God’s reply would still have been “… I will spare all the place for their sakes.” (Genesis 18:26) Today, God is not judging us for our sins because He has found the righteousness of the one Man In Our Lord Christ Jesus because At the cross, Jesus exhausted all of God’s fiery judgments until there was no more fire of God’s wrath left for us! So let NO ONE tell us,So let NO ONE tell us,So let NO ONE tell us,So let NO ONE tell us........ that God is going to judges us for our sins and punishes us with cancer, car accidents, business failures, brokenness…., God would be unjust if He punished the same sins twice—in Jesus’ body and then in ours.
