For Honda Accord Lovers/Seekers I have a 1994 Honda Accord that I bought last year late June. Its an EX (has a sliding sunroof - no leaks!) 5-speed and has 167,000 miles. The first thing I did when I got it was have the timing belt/water pump kit replaced. Since getting it Ive also had to replace the wheel bearings, bushings, upper control arms brakes, rotors & calipers. I may be missing something in all of that. Also the CV axle on the drivers side. Weve replaced the battery around Christmas. Replaced the Fuel filter because we thought it was causing an issue but wound up being the fuel relay so that was replaced as well. Also replaced the starter. Had the valve cover gasket replaced too. Last week we did a full tune up with all the plugs, plug wires, rotor and rotor cap. And its recently had an oil change that will need to be done again within another month or so. The left CV axle is starting to make some noise and I know the struts need to be replaced. And its got something going on with it where when you drive it at a constant speed (not giving it gas) itll sputter some but were getting that diagnosed this week and will be fixing it. Other than that its in good shape. Most of what weve had fixed will last for many years and it was quite expensive to fix because to get to some of the parts in the tires area you have to pull the hub, which is an extra fee on top of labor and parts. We can prove the work weve had done to it. The AC works but we have to add Freon about once a month, which to us was cheaper than trying to get it fixed. We decided, since I have 2 young kids and we travel to Fla a lot, that itd be best to get something a bit more reliable. So unfortunately I have to sell this car. Im stressing over it because this is my favorite car Ive driven so far! And I feel that were probably very close to having the car to a point where it wont need much more work done to it for years to come. But we cant chance it with as often as I go to Fla with my kids to visit family. Im asking $2800 which I feel is fair given all the work thats been put into it since last July. Its got low mileage, I know people who have these cars and theyre into the 300,000+ range, and have heard stories of people still driving them (the manuals especially) in the 500,000 range! There are a couple of things that will need to be fixed but for the price Im asking you can be assured that you wont need a lot because weve already invested much more than what Im asking into it! So if youre seriously looking for a good car that could potentially last you another 15 years then please contact me! Youre free to test drive it. It gets AWESOME gas mileage!! I can fill up and drive around town and get about 330 miles to the tank! Well even add a can of Freon to show that the AC is indeed working. Its never had any engine problems and I dont know of any clutch issues either. I love this car and if we could afford it wed keep it! I can provide photos upon request.
