For IVF Centres in India :: PCPNDT LAW (thanks Dr Geetendra Sharma for clarification) There are five types of Registration under PC-PNDT Act. Genetic Counselling Centre, Genetic Clinic, Genetic Laboratory, USG Centre and Imaging Centre. IVF Clinic is to be registered as Genetic Clinic. If you have USG machine then as a USG centre. Combination of two makes you liable to pay Rs. 35000/- for new Registration. Now the question is why to be registered as Genetic Clinic? It is because Section-14 of PC-PNDT Rules. Genetic laboratory can receive samples for analysis only from the centres registered as Genetic Clinics. If somebody is not registered as Genetic clinic then that centre cannot send any sample for analysis to any Genetic Laboratory. If somebody do analysis also in the same centre than Registration as Genetic laboratory is also needed. For Obstetric USG One has to fill Form-F. For any invasive procedure Form-G and if you are registered as Genetic laboratory then for any analysis to fill Form-E.
