For Immediate Release Participants Workout for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Exercise enthusiasts get fit while raising money for a good cause. Contact Name: Email: Phone Number: Fitness Depot will warm up to host a Workout for St. Jude event on July 8,2013 at 1:00 P.M. in Ellisville/Collins to raise funds to help support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, one of the world’s premier pediatric cancer research centers. The event will include cardio and diet guidance training as well as a Wight Lifting Competition in September. The public can also get involved through volunteering to collect money using Workout for St. Jude Envelopes. This is the first year that Fitness Depot has held the Workout for St. Jude event. Fitness Depot has raised more than $400.00 since it began in 2013. “We look forward to this event to help raise awareness and funds for the kids of St. Jude,” Katherine Parker, event coordinator. “The Workout for St. Jude event brings together health enthusiasts in cities like Ellisville to truly support the mission of St. Jude of finding cures to treat deadly childhood diseases while getting fit.” Since opening in 1962, St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and around the world. No child is ever denied treatment because of a family’s inability to pay. With a daily operating cost of $1.7 million, St. Jude depends mostly on public contributions and fundraising events, like Workout for St. Jude.
