For Jerome Lynch, what started out as casually taking pictures at his son’s Baseball games quickly developed into a love of photography. Hundreds of hours spent mastering his technique cultivated a desire to present subjects in their most natural settings. Behind Jerome’s lens, the end result is nothing short of magical. An old, abandoned building recaptures the character and grandness of its original structure. Gritty scenes become an urban oasis and spontaneous shots are captured with an intense focus and purpose. Like a painter, Jerome chooses subjects with care, selecting only those that appeal to a certain visual aesthetic. He is also a historian who hopes people are inspired to make the journey to some of his site locations. “I love to produce images that make the viewer say Oooh.. I would like to see that up close and personal. Now.” Jerome’s favorite subjects are cityscape and skyline images around the Chicago-Northwest Indiana region.
