For Liz... So many times, Lord just when I think I know the plan... the path changes. All seemed well... and yet I find myself among thornes, thistles and a rugged path out of nowhere it suddenly appears. And I begin to lose my footing... and drop all I am holding... and the tears begin. And in those moments when I feel I cannot go another step, I look through my tears and there I see your hand. And you grasp my hand... and in that moment, I feel a strength that makes me feel I can face anything with you by my side. And you pull me up, dust me off and together we set off again on that rugged path. And before too long, we rest beside the still waters and you renew my soul... and all those questions I had to ask you just fade away because I am in your presence... and there is total love. No doubt... just a child like faith that makes the road ahead seem bearable and yes, even at times magnificent! This journey so uncharted by me and yet you know each step... each falter... each mountain climb... each valley... and through it all you whisper...I will always be with you. Come on, we will walk with together and should you tire... I will carry you but always know I will never let go of your hand! For you are my precious child...
