For SOTD No. 159 we travel to sunny Liverpool the home of The Hummingbirds, who are currently Liverpools band of the year. This great 5-piece play a excellent updated mix of Mersey beat, Skiffle and Indie Folk. Also they are very good songwriters and musicians in their own right. You have the feeling when you see them live, that this must have been a similar experiance to watching the early Beatles at the Cavern Club. They have great energy and are a lot of fun to watch.
