For Sale Please Share !!! Very desirable VW beach buggy, short wheel base with black metal flake gel coat. Lowered front end which in addition to the larger rear wheels gives an aggressive stance. The buggy comes with a years MOT. Classed as a historic vehicle so it comes with free road tax every year. 1 years insurance with Adrian flux is £93.00. The Beach Buggy has had a significant amount of mechanical work carried out on her. I have receipts for all work, with the cost of £1600+. A North East VW air cooled specialist has carried out the following: • Full engine removal and strip down. • Full bottom end replaced with reconditioned unit. • New fuel tank and fuel lines. • Replaced inlet and exhaust valves, piston rings and push rod tubes. • New clutch and flywheel shimmed. • Both carbs stripped, cleaned and repaired. • New spark plugs and fuel filter. • Carbs balanced and full engine re tune. Recent MOT test resulted in 1 ball joint being replaced and the electrics had an overhaul with regards the indicators and lighting system. The car has done less than 300 miles since the full engine re build, so still in the running in period. The buggy looks great and gives the peace of mind that you are buying a very mechanically sound buggy which in my opinion has the best 1600 engine with twin carbs. The buggy has small room for improvement; the wheels could do with a good rub down and polish. The 2 dash dials are rusted and could be changed or painted in the search for perfection. The Gel Coat Finish has not done justice in the photos, it contains the multi coloured flakes which give a spectacular look in the sunshine and is hard wearing and just about impossible to scratch.
