For Sale: Please take the time to read this! These pieces come from a family member and the story and provenance that accompanies them Is totally amazing, and true! My cousin Ben T. Albin was In the 155th Airborne Antiaircraft Battalion throughout WWII. He was a highly decorated true American hero and a very sweet, kind and caring old man the way I remember him. These pieces come from one of the most infamous battles of WWII fought In Nijmegen at the Arnhem Bridge in the Netherlands. They made a movie about this battle called A bridge too far back In 1977. We had over 11,000 soldiers that fought In this intense battle and only 5,000 walked out! There were 103 men deployed from Bens battalion, the 155th Airborne. Ben was one of only eleven men from his battalion to make It out alive. Heres the story as told by Ben on how he acquired these Nazi soldiers personal pieces from this infamous battle. They had several soldiers from the 155 pinned down In a ditch, he said the battle here was more intense than any other he had ever fought In! At one point he saw a grenade leave a Nazi soldiers hand and land at the feet of his best friend which he enlisted with. Ben was wounded and received a purple heart for his heroism In this battle. His friend was not so lucky! Ben said the blast really rang his bell, and It took him a moment to regain his senses, but when he did he realized that Jim had been killed, he then loaded a fresh clip in his M1 carbine. Waited for the soldier who had just killed his best friend to pop up and unloaded the entire clip on the Nazi soldier and the others fighting along side him. He took them all out, walked over to the body of the man that killed his friend and removed these pieces. Original WWII Nazi Items are becoming very scarce as most have been snached up by collectors. These are 100% guaranteed to be original and from the afore mentioned battle. Pieces like this with the story and the provenance I am including with this set make them almost impossible to find. You will receive the Nazi party armband, The SS cap tinny, this is undoubtedly one of if not the rarest metal SS Cap eagles in existence. As Is the included buckle and belt fragment. The armband has light soiling from wear and use with no rips or tears anywhere. The tinny Is perfect with the pin still In place and perfect age appropriate patina. The belt buckle Is one of the rarest SS buckles and are rarely seen. This one Is In perfect condition with part of the original belt still attached. You will also receive a digital copy of Bens orders for travel when he and his fellow troops from the 155th were returning home when the war ended In 1945 from France. The pieces are worth around $400.00 If purchased separately, and unheard of anymore In an original collection with provenance and paperwork. You just dont see collections like this available anymore!
